Just wanted to let everyone know of a ride and meeting I'm helping organize
for this Saturday here in NJ and then PA. It is what I call a "special
interest" ride because it will certainly not appeal to everyone. However, I
know some of you would like to do something like this so I'm posting it.
This Saturday, 4/9/05, I'm going to lead whomever wants to join me to
Catasauqua, PA for a men's prayer and praise breakfast (sorry ladies!). Not
normally something I would post about here, but the guest speaker is my
Pastor and he is a real great guy who I think most would enjoy hearing...
It won't be boring, that I can promise you. As most of you know, I've been
a youth leader under his direction for around 14 years.
I will be leaving at 6:00 AM (eehgads!) from the Ridgeway Campus of The Life
Christian Church - also known as the former Augustinian Catholic Monastery
in West Orange, NJ which is located at:
St. Cloud Area of Town
55 Ridgeway Avenue
West Orange, NJ 07052
(973) 731-7744 for directions or http://tlcc.org/Directions.htm. See the
second half of the page.
If it is raining, I will be at the address above in my car and would be
willing to carpool with anyone who wants to come. We will ride via a rather
direct route to the meeting which will take place from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
at:
Our Father's House
706 Bath Avenue
Catasauqua, PA 18032
(610) 231-9537
If you want, simply meet us there. It's not a Biker's Men's meeting so feel
free to cage it if you want and/or if it rains. It is a free meeting with a
light breakfast being served. They will probably take some sort of
offering.
Afterwards, I plan on heading back to NJ via Route 78 East and stopping at
the Clinton Station Diner for that huge burger I've been craving. This is
the place I keep talking about that serves 1, 2, 3, and 7 lb. burgers as
well as plenty of other good stuff. Apparently, I will have repent of the
sin of gluttony while at the men's meeting <grin>.
After lunch, if time allows, I plan on taking the scenic route back to
Northern, NJ. Probably via 513 North. Please join me!!!
Hope anyone who wants to attend can join us! I have a flyer (electronic)
that I can send out to anyone interested as well. See below my sig for a
bio on the guest speaker. Just as a disclaimer, I'm not trying to do any
type of evangelism tactic stuff by trying to organize this. It is simply an
invite with no strings attached.
