NJ to CT Trip Planned (9/25/05)

As some of you may remember, I took a group out to see a friend we call
"Flemdog" just over a year ago.  It was a great trip and a great time.  One
that will go into my memory forever...

I am planning on going again Sunday, September 25th and have invited a few
other groups to join us.  I'd love it if some of you high mileage folks
would join us!  Especially those of you that came along last year...  But
this is open to anyone with any type of bike.

Rain or shine.  I'll be in the cage if the weather looks extrodinarily bad.

We will depart from the Dunkin Donuts on Route 23 North in Pompton Plains,
NJ at 8:00 AM in order to make Plainfield, CT on time for a good lunch.  I'm
guessing that some of you who may want to come will have to either wake up
real early or stay locally.  I can help you with local lodging if you want.
There is a "decent" hotel right near by the launch point.  Total trip miles
for the day are looking to be around 350ish...  We will take a different
route each way and do our best to stay on some very nice but safe roadways.
The pace will be whatever the flow of traffic is.  Not much faster and
sometimes possibly a bit slower to keep whatever size group comes along
together properly.

If you need or simply want to meet us, I think the best way to do that is to
simply meet at Exit 84 in CT where Flemdog is meeting us...  That way we can
all hang out together and not have to worry about scheduling a stop along
the way at a certain time, etc.  Who knows what traffic will do to our
scheduled meets otherwise...
