A Simple plan.  Meet at Pompton Plains Dunkin Donuts / Kawasaki at 7:45 AM 
or earlier.

Depart 8:00 AM.

Ride up 23 North to 287 North.  287 to 87 to 17 West.

17 West to Endicott, NY.  Have lunch at some really small place.

Turn around and come home.

17 is the new highway 86 I believe.  So far it is relatively empty and has 
mostly a 65 MPH speed limit.  It is somewhat scenic, especially as you go 
through the area that skirts the southern portion of the Catskill State 
Park.  Should be a decent, although not total back road experience.

We may detour on the way home and shoot down 97 to Hawk's Nest if time 
allows or jump on 81/380/80 if time is short.  The ultimate plan is to be 
back to the Pompton Plains area no later than 4:30 or 5:00 PM.

This is not one of our back road riding adventures, but promises to be a 
decent day of riding on one of the first real nice days of the season.  If 
you can't make this one, no worries.  There will be more...  Route is what 
it is out of necessity.  Scouting out an idea for the future too...

Corner of Route 23 North and Jackson Avenue
Depart 8:00 AM
Refuel during ride up.
Arrive in Endicott somewhere around 11:30 or 12:00 PM.
Eat, hang out for a few.
Reverse ride with possible modifications...
Return by 5:00 PM or earlier.
